Affordable Connectivity Program

Mother and daughter looking at a laptop computer.ACP is a federal benefit available to qualifying households that provides a monthly discount of up to $30 per month for internet services. For more information regarding ACP, please visit the Affordable Connectivity website.

Rapid Fiber has been working very hard behind the scenes so that our customers could allocate their monthly ACP benefit toward their Rapid Fiber internet service. We were anticipating being able to begin accepting ACP benefits in February; however, according to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), the final date that households may enroll in ACP is February 7, 2024. This is because funding for ACP is expected to expire in April 2024, so the FCC has developed a formal plan for winding down ACP. This plan includes the following steps:

  • January 25, 2024: Internet service providers must send an initial notice to existing ACP households.
  • February 7, 2024: Last day that households may enroll in ACP.
  • April 2024: Last month that ACP is expected to be fully funded.

We will continue to closely monitor the program and be prepared to facilitate ACP benefits in the future if Congress should choose to re-fund ACP.

As always, we appreciate your trusting us to be your internet service provider and your understanding as we attempt to navigate this ever-changing landscape. Any updates to Rapid Fiber’s ACP plans will be posted on this website. Feel free to monitor the FCC’s ACP page to stay informed about the future of ACP.
