Job Description

This position will work to assure excellent product and service quality across the entire fiber optic network and ensure excellent customer satisfaction is maintained at all times. The QA Technician will assist in fiber system troubleshooting and repair coordination; drop and installation contractor quality assurance training and network quality level monitoring (including occasional customer equipment installation and installation quality monitoring), as well as drop- and installation-related safety protocol compliance.

Job Related Qualifications



  • High School Diploma or Equivalent/GED
  • Three or more years of experience in QA in an electronics environment
  • Knowledge of QA measurement, assessment and reporting in an electronics, IT, or networking environment


  • AS or AA degree in quality assurance, networking, engineering, or IT
  • 6σ Yellow Belt or similar quality system assurance certifications
  • Calix Platform E9, ONT’s and GigaSpire equipment experience
  • Knowledge of LAN/WAN, PON and related technologies
  • Technical School networking or security coursework and training


Computer Skills:

  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Microsoft Windows-based Office software for word processing (Word), spreadsheets (Excel), presentations (PowerPoint), meetings (Teams), and communications/email (Outlook)
  • Ability to work with server- and cloud-based databases and networking software
